Palitana in Gujarat is one of the locations for the 200 schools that have been proposed by Veerayatan as part of the Jaha Jinalay Vaha Vidyalay initiative. Acharya Shri Chandanaji envisages an education institute at every town with a jinalaya so that local children of all caste, religion, and economic background can study together.

The foundation ceremony and a regal bhoomi pujan for the upcoming school were held in April 2015. The gathering saw supporters from Palitana, Songadh, and Bhavnagar along with trustees, members of Veerayatan, and local media.

As of January 2016, considerable progress has been made at the site. The project would have long been completed if not for the rocky terrain and huge land filling. One of the major achievements for the site has been the online application filing for the registration of the school with the department of education.

Further, an application for the sanction of the building plans from the Taluka Panchayat has also been filed and awaits approval. The entrances to the school and the residential and vocational buildings have been relocated keeping in mind aesthetics as well as Vaastu. The school is slated to open in June 2016.

This ambitious dream would not be possible without donors such as Shri Niranjan Dhruv, who was the first to contribute Rs 1 crore to this school and pledged another crore for the 200 School Project. Rikhabchandji Jain has also pledged a donation of Rs 1 crore.

Veerayatan extends its deepest gratitude to all its supports who have personally strived to make this noble mission a reality.
