About Veerayatan
Veerayatan is a profound and remarkable thought:
‘Let friendship be our religion’
This simply means we are all interdependent and thus it is our duty to serve humanity, bring justice to society and protect all living beings from violence and suffering.
Veerayatan’s activities worldwide stem from this profound thought and are underpinned by the motto ‘Compassion in Action’. This seed was originally planted in 1970 and fifty years on, Veerayatan, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, has flourished into a gigantic tree of compassionate service to all in need.
Veerayatan has created an indelible impact towards the alleviation of human suffering. Millions of peoples’ lives have been transformed, a fact recognised by the Government of India bestowing Pujya Tai Ma with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ award in 2022.
Veerayatan’s vision is to support, inspire, empower and beautify lives through its three pillars – Seva (Service to Humanity), Shiksha (Education for all) and Sadhana (Self Development) – without any distinction of caste, religion, gender or socio-economic status.
