Rajasthan

Known as the land of the desert, Rajasthan has a strong and historical connection with Jainism. It is the location of many ancient Tirths and houses sacred Jain Scriptures. Yet, the need for education is palpable with a literacy rate which is lower than the national rate especially for females.

There are three schools in Rajasthan as part of Veerayatan’s stated vision of ‘Jaha Jinalay,Vaha Vidyalaya’(‘where there is a temple, there needs to be a school’): Sanchore, Osian and Jaipur.

In 2017, Veerayatan opened Tirthankar Mahavir Vidhya Mandir (TMVM) in Sanchore providing quality of education to disadvantaged children in and around Sanchore.
