Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth (SCVP) was set up to impart moral and ethical values, Jain heritage, and humanity, with an emphasis on teaching universal values such as compassion, honesty, love, happiness, unity and charity. It was established in 1997 with the guidance of Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji along with Young Jains Nairobi, and is an active platform for Veerayatan supporters.
The school aims to instil confidence and spiritual values in children and adults. This will help one and all with the strength and wisdom to make sound choices in life. The courses have more than 300 registered students. Regular visits by Sadhvi Shilapiji and other Sadhvis have been a source of training for more than 40 volunteer teachers at SCVP.

In January 2015, on Pujya Tai Ma’s birthday, Veerayatan’s Kenya centre was formed. Pujya Tai Ma blessed the land where the Cerebral Palsy Centre for Kenya has been planned and for which approvals from the Government are awaiting. In the meantime, Veerayatan Kenya is caring for over 120 children with Cerebral Palsy. Daily treatment, meals and tender loving care is given to all who would otherwise not have any hope. Our success has been that many of our children have now been enrolled into regular schools with some who have made it to University!
Veerayatan Kenya, under the banner of Water for Life Trust, has worked hard to drill borewells in drought areas of Kenya. We have just begun a partnership with LDS Charities and will be building over 100 wells at a total cost of around $3million. Each such site supports over 500 families, promotes kitchen gardens and also serves domestic animals. The project will take 3 years to complete.
Under the banner of Food for Life Trust, we have been feeding over 1500 school children daily for over 20 years. This program was recently extended to assist families hit by Covid as well as by the recent drought and famine in Kenya. Over 300 tonnes of food have been distributed and a further 200 tonnes will be given out to the famine affected areas.

With the vision and guidance of Pujya Tai Ma, Veerayatan has inspired all the Jains to adopt the principles of Seva, Shiksha and Sadhana and today we are all proud to be associated with our Gurus and our organization, Veerayatan.
